Your property is near a municipal drinking water well that has increasing chloride concentrations. In the past, the Region of Waterloo and a property representative (owner, manager, tenant, etc.) negotiated a winter maintenance Risk Management Plan to help mitigate chloride infiltration while maintaining safety. The Risk Management Plan was valid for five years and now must be renewed.
If this is your first time learning about the Risk Management Plan requirement for your property, a new Plan can be created to reflect your practices.
By completing this form, you are requesting Region of Waterloo staff contact you to begin the process of renewing or creating a Risk Management Plan.
Please note that even if you hire a winter maintenance service or only use a small amount of salt, you are still responsible for completing the Risk Management Plan process.
