Rebate for plumbing changes to soften hot water only

This $50 rebate is for owners of single, semi-detached and townhouse properties in Waterloo Region who have switched from softening hot and cold water to hot water only. This is a one-time rebate and must be submitted within 6 months of plumbing changes.

You will need to include itemized and dated receipts as proof of plumbing changes that include:

statement of plumbing changes made to switch to softening hot water only
cost of plumbing materials
cost of labour (if applicable)

Criteria to qualify

Single, semi-detached or townhouse residential property connected to the Waterloo region municipal water supply
Use a salt-based water softener and switched from softening cold and hot water to hot water only within the last 6 months

Upon review of your application, a Region of Waterloo representation will contact you to confirm you qualify for the rebate and request required banking information to etransfer funds.
